Kelanawisata.id Banjarnegara – The celebration of Banjarnegara Regency’s 455th Anniversary, held on Thursday, March 2, 2026, was lively and successful in attracting the attention of both the public and tourists. The main series of events, comprising the Anniversary Procession and Cultural Parade, fostered cross-sectoral collaboration and significantly boosted the local economy.
The Anniversary Procession was joined by all local government agencies and vertical agencies, as well as contingents from 20 sub-districts. This event served as a powerful symbol of unity and synergy in building and advancing Banjarnegara Regency.
Following the procession, the event continued with a Cultural Parade featuring 20 art groups from all sub-districts. A variety of creative and attractive performances successfully showcased the richness of local culture, while reinforcing the identity and local wisdom of the Banjarnegara community.
The Chair of the 455th Anniversary Committee, Tursiman, S.Sos, on Friday, April 3, 2026, stated that this event is not only a venue for entertainment and cultural preservation but also provides tangible economic benefits for the community.
“Based on our analysis, this event attracted visitors from morning until night, with an estimated turnout of 40,000 to 60,000 people. This certainly has a significant impact on the local economy,” he said.
He also expressed his appreciation to all parties who contributed to the success of this event.
“We extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to all government agencies, arts and culture communities, MSME operators, and the public who have actively participated. This extraordinary enthusiasm serves as positive energy for us to continue presenting even higher-quality cultural events in the future,” he added.
Additionally, Tursiman offered an apology for any shortcomings that may have occurred during the event’s implementation. “We acknowledge that there were some challenges during the event, particularly regarding visitor congestion, traffic management, and limited supporting facilities. For this, we apologize for any inconvenience caused and will use this as a basis for evaluation to improve future events,” he stated.
He explained that the participation of over 500 MSME operators in this event has helped boost community income, particularly in the culinary and creative economy sectors. Additionally, supporting activities such as the rental of traditional attire and artistic costumes, the provision of performance props, participant transportation, and catering have also contributed to local economic activity.
Meanwhile, Kuat Herry Isnanto, M.H., Head of the Culture Division at the Banjarnegara Regency Tourism and Culture Office, emphasized that the success of the 455th Anniversary celebration serves as a crucial milestone for continuously improving the quality of cultural event management in the future.
“Overall, the estimated economic turnover for a single day of this event ranges from Rp10 billion to Rp13.2 billion. This demonstrates that cultural events have significant potential as drivers of the local economy,” he stated.
Furthermore, his office hopes that similar activities can continue to be developed as flagship regional events capable of strengthening cultural preservation while improving community welfare.
“The series of events commemorating the 455th Anniversary of Banjarnegara Regency will continue until April 6, 2026. Let’s come together, witness, and celebrate every activity as a manifestation of our love for Banjarnegara,” he concluded.***
